Farazur Rehman, Founder and Chairman of the Pakistan Business Group (PBG), has issued a strong condemnation of the Table Tennis Federation and other sports bodies for their failure to provide essential funds to athletes. He described the lack of financial support as demoralizing for athletes and detrimental to the future of sports in Pakistan. Rehman expressed his concerns, stating, “It is extremely unfortunate that federations responsible for athlete support are not fulfilling their obligations. The inability to fund athletes is a clear indicator of their failure and undermines the spirit of our sports community.”
He called for immediate government intervention to ensure that the necessary funds are allocated to athletes. Rehman warned that continued neglect could result in Pakistan losing its top talents in international competitions, which would be a significant setback for the country. He urged the government to act swiftly and mandate federations to release funds promptly.
