Details of employees have been sought from local bodies’ department. According to details, Section Officer Administration of Sindh Local Government Department has asked the regional directors of Sindh Local Bodies about the information.
Details of employees of Karachi Metropolitan Municipality, District Municipalities, District Councils, Town and Municipal Committees, Union Committees and Union Councils have been sought as they are budgeted under the Schedule of Establishment.
Information has been obtained on the basis of the post of each employee which has been asked to be sent to the said department by March 9.
The letter said that these details would be provided to the Sindh Finance Department immediately.
It may be recalled that on March 10, the Finance Department has convened a meeting to increase the OZT funds of Sindh Local Bodies.
Immediate request for lists of employees indicates that the Sindh government is going to increase the OZT fund of the next local bodies.
According to sources, there was a record of local government employees in Sindh Local Government Department. But the records were taken away by NAB investigators who have not yet returned them.
Due to this, the Sindh Local Government Department has to seek records from the Sindh Local Bodies again.
