A high-level delegation from the Employers’ Federation of Pakistan (EFP), led by Mehmood Arshad, Chairman of the EFP Economic Council, visited the Turkish Embassy in Islamabad to discuss initiatives aimed at boosting trade between Pakistan and Türkiye. The delegation, which included Syed Hasnain Mazhar, EFP Board Member, along with Muhammad Ahmed and Shaban Khalid from the Economic Council, was warmly welcomed by H.E Dr. Irfan Neziroglu, the Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan, and key embassy officials such as Enes Malik Cetin, the Commercial Counsellor, and Ali Omer, the Financial Affairs Counsellor.

During the meeting, both sides expressed keen interest in enhancing bilateral trade and collaborating on initiatives to promote economic ties.

Ambassador Neziroglu and his team showed great enthusiasm for the EFP’s proposals, particularly those focused on joint trade promotion activities between Pakistan and Türkiye.

The embassy officials were impressed by the innovative strategies presented by the EFP and indicated a willingness to take swift action to implement these initiatives. Looking ahead, the EFP Economic Council plans to present its research findings and actionable recommendations for enhancing trade during a scheduled meeting on Monday. The Turkish Embassy team will join remotely via Zoom to further discuss and refine the proposed strategies.
