The Department of School Education submitted a report to Prime Minister Imran Khan, “showing all is well.” The incomplete and pending projects were also exaggerated by the School Education Department in the report for the past two years presented to the Prime Minister.
According to sources, establishment of schools in rented buildings, Insaf Afternoon School Program, Insaf Primary School Program and Insaf Mobile School project are still pending. Medium of Instruction, Danish Schools, Teachers Licensing Act, Private Schools Act were also included in the report. The briefing included more ECE books, Punjab School Construction and Rehabilitation Program, upgrading of 1227 schools and IMIS.
Provincial Education Minister Murad Raas said that comprehensive measures have been taken to eradicate corruption and mismanagement during the past two years. After the successful implementation of the e-transfer policy, other institutions are also working on these lines.
He said that all the projects initiated by the PTI government are initiated keeping in view merit and transparency.
On the other hand, the Department of Schools Education has announced second phase for the transfer of teachers. The second phase of the transfer will start from August 15. Inter and intra-district transfers will be done in the second phase.
The school education department will solicit applications for transfers from teachers. In the first phase, more than 10,000 teachers from across Punjab were transferred.
In addition, the School Education Department Punjab took notice of the unsatisfactory performance of anti-dengue focal persons and directed all the authorities to ensure anti-dengue report from the registered tab.
Dr. Yasmeen Rashid said that the focal persons of the school education department are not submitting the report of dengue activities. The Secretary Education directed all the authorities to ensure the anti-dengue report of the focal persons from the registered tab. Officials will be responsible.
