EC Sindh issues notice to Mayor

The Provincial Election Commission of Sindh has requested a response from Mayor Karachi, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, by January 26 regarding an alleged violation of Article 18 and 41 of the code of conduct.

The Election Commission’s spokesperson mentioned that the mayor was issued a letter for supporting a specific party during a press conference on January 25. The letter emphasized that supporting a political party contradicted the code of conduct rules for Mayors, Chairmen, and Nazims. Failure to submit a response by the deadline would result in legal proceedings as per the law.
