Ambassador of Pakistan to Tajikistan, Imran Haider has said that the two countries enjoy excellent bilateral ties which are deep rooted in shared history and culture. Addressing the concluding session of the three-day Pakistan Cultural festival in Tajikistan organized by the Embassy of Pakistan in Dushanbe, Imran Haider said that leadership of the two countries remains fully committed to take the existing brotherly relations between the two countries to new highs, says a report from Dushanbe.
Tajikistan’s Minister of Culture Dawlatzoda Zulfiya Davlat was chief guest at the event, organized at the prestigious Opera Ballet Theater located in the heart of Dushanbe city. High officials of Tajik govt including Tajik MPs, first deputy foreign minister, members of the diplomatic corps, local businessmen, journalists, academicians and Pakistani community attended the event.
Pakistan’s Ambassador Imran Haider said that the two countries enjoy excellent bilateral ties which are rooted in shared history and culture. He said leadership of the two countries remains fully committed to take the existing brotherly relations between the two countries to new highs. In his speech, the Ambassador highlighted different aspects of Pakistani culture, including its ethnic diversity, craftsmanship, art and music, dresses and cuisine. He expressed the hope that the festival will help introduce Pakistan’s rich culture to Tajik people and strengthen cultural cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
In her remarks, Tajik Minister of Culture Dawlatzoda Zulfiya Davlat said that the Embassy of Pakistan has taken a great initiative by organizing this Festival as it will further bolster cultural cooperation between the two countries. She said that the expanding cooperation with Pakistan is one of the priority areas for the Tajik government as it will help bring the two brotherly people closer.
