DUBAI – All citizens and residents of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), including Philippines nationals, are not allowed to drive a vehicle without a valid driving license.
They can face heavy fines or other legal action for driving the vehicles with an expired license or without it. It is mandatory for them to keep their document renewed timely to avoid such consequences.
According to Dubai’s RTA guidelines, residents aged 21 years and above are eligible to apply for the new driving licence or renew it in Dubai.
Residents younger than 21 years can also apply for a probationary driving licence.

Dubai Driving License Renewal Fee Update December 2024
The driver license renewal fees for customers younger than 21 years old stands at AED100 in addition to AED20 Knowledge and Innovation fees.
500 AED additional fees will be received when applicant requests the mobile truck service for the eye test and licence renewal.
The driver license renewal fee for customers 21 years and older stands at AED300 in addition to AED20 Knowledge and Innovation fees.
