KARACHI — Noted Islamic scholar Dr Zakir Naik has been awarded an honorary doctorate by University of Karachi for his substantial contributions to Ummah.
Sindh Governor and Chancellor KU Kamran Tessori commended Dr. Naik’s influence and popularity across the globe, especially in Asia. He further recalled the vast track of Dr. Naik’s extensive track record, noting that he delivered thousands of lectures globally and engaged in several public debates.
The honorary PhD is a recognition of his invaluable services, the Governor said, hoping that the Peace TV founder would continue his dedicated efforts. University of Karachi Vice-Chancellor Professor Khalid Iraqi and Sindh Higher Education officials also praised the Islamic scholar for his achievements.
Faculty members and university professors were also in attendance to honor Dr. Naik’s achievements. This honorary doctorate underscores his impact on global Muslim community and highlights the importance of contributions in fostering dialogue.
Dr Zakir is in Pakistan for month-long visit to deliver lectures in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and other cities.
