Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Health Dr Faisal Sultan has showed aim to include Pakistan in the list of polio free countries.
Speaking to the journalists during his one-day visit to Balochistan’s border area Chaman, Dr Faisal Sultan said that the purpose of his visit was to review the working of polio teams on cross-border friendships.
He said that Afghanistan and Pakistan are the only two countries left behind in the polio. “Pakistan is very important for us and efforts are being made to bring Pakistan in polio free category,” he assured.
The special assistant maintained that the polio cases were decreasing in Chaman. “Not even a single case has been reported in the last six months. Our teams are working hard to ensure that no child is deprived of the polio vaccine,” he added.
Dr Faisal further said that the figures of COVID vaccinations are increasing every day.
