The Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), a constituent of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, has expressed serious concern over the surge in Indian state terrorism in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the DFP in a statement issued in Srinagar said the Indian forces’ personnel have turned occupied Kashmir into a slaughter house where they are killing innocent and educated youths in fake encounters. It said that human rights defenders have time and again raised their voice against the continued bloodshed by Indian troops in the territory but the Narendra Modi-led Indian fascist government has turned a deaf ear to these pleas.
The DFP deplored that the Indian forces’ personnel have been murdering innocent Kashmiris to fulfill their desire for material gains, incentives and promotions. It said that termination of Kashmiri employees from government services was yet another tool the occupation authorities have been using to suppress the Kashmiris economically.
The DFP expressed grave concern over the continued illegal detention of the party chief Shabbir Ahmed Shah and other Hurriyat leaders including APHC Chairman Masarrat Aalam Butt, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Aasiya Andrabi and Nayeem Ahmed Khan. It said that the pro-freedom leaders were being punished and persecuted for raising their voice against the brutal suppression of Kashmiris by India.—KMS
