LAHORE – The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Wednesday sealed 68 illegal commercial buildings and commercialization fee defaulter premises in Lahore.
LDA Town Planning Wing teams sealed 13 buildings in Gulshan-e-Ravi, 17 on Main Boulevard Subzazar and 38 at Hamdard Chowk, Quaid-e-Azam Town for illegal commercial use.
The sealed premises include Allied School, Dar-e-Arqam, Unique School, Zicas School System, Lahore Elite School, Data Motors, Gul’s saloon, Bank Alfalah, grocery store, pharmacy, food outlet, clinic, private offices and other businesses.
LDA Director Town Planning Zone-I Ayesha Mutahir, Director Town Planning Zone-II and Director Town Planning Zone-VII carried out operations in their respective jurisdictions with the help of enforcement teams and Police.
As per the LDA officials, several notices were served to these buildings’ owners before carrying out the operations.
LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has directed continuing indiscriminate operations against illegal commercial buildings and commercialization fee defaulters in Lahore.
