Provincial Caretaker Minister for Revenue, Commerce and Industries Muhammad YounusDagha, visited Sub-Registrar offices of Shah Faisal, Landhi, Korangi, Malir and Bin Qasim Towns. Secretary Revenue MB Dharejo, Chief Inspector of Stamps Muhammad Abbas Naich and other officers were also accompanied by him during the visit.The Minister inspected all these offices, checked the Pendency of registration documents and met with the registering public.
The Minister questioned the Peshkar of Sub-Registrar Shah Faisal town about his Involvement in malpractices with the connivance of private persons. Peshkar was handed over to IG Registration for initiating an enquiry as per law regarding his alleged involvement in Corruption in Collusion with various private persons working unauthorizedly in Shah Faisal town Office.YounusDagha also revealed the formation of a separate body dedicated to the maintenance of infrastructure in the SITE area. In response to numerous complaints of irregularities, he announced the digitalization of land records for SITE Limited, making them accessible on the website.
The Master Plan will also be made available online.Minister assured that the newly formed body would address this issue. He clarified that the restructuring involves the distribution of responsibilities for SITE Limited, focusing solely on infrastructure maintenance in SITE Karachi. Furthermore, a separate account for SSWMB-related collections may be established to address recovery-related complaints.
Muhammad YounusDagha announced that the Sindh Government will implement IT-based services to enhance convenience and transparency in processing all land-related documentation including registration of documents at the offices of the Sindh Board of Revenue. Dagha said that an agreement between the Sindh Board of Revenue and the Punjab Information Technology Board will ensure ease and transparency in the registration and mutation process through automation.
This will eliminate delays in work, save peoples time, and provide real-time updates through the services app, he said and added that the new IT system will also facilitate an automated system of accountability. He also revealed a target to activate the deed tracking system within one week which will be based on issuance of electronic token at the time of application in all sub-registrar offices. With the unique ID and QR code, the senior officers of the Board of Revenue will be able to review the performance of sub-registrar offices and take timely action against delays and poor performance.
