Cupping therapy practitioners want government support

City Reporter Cupping (Hijama) experts has urged the government institutions to play its positive role in streamlining cupping therapy in Pakistan as its effectiveness as a treatment method is proved from Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and much-needed in this era too. Cupping therapists should also practice this treatment method after seeking thorough trainings and study, and also discourage untrained practitioners. These views were expressed by experts while delivering lectures at a seminar on “Need and importance of cupping therapy in present era” organized for women only by the Sindh branch of Pakistan Professionals Hijama Society here at Hoor Bai Hajiani Girls School near Jama Cloth Market. Social activist Fauzia Zuberi was chief guest on this occasion. Dr. Bilal, President Singh Branch and Mr. Shakir, Secretary Finance of provincial society were also present here while messages from Dr. Yasir Siddique – Central President and Molana Hakeem Muhammad Usman – Central Secretary General were also conveyed during seminar. The chief guest administered oath to cabinet of Sindh chapter women wing of Pakistan Professionals Hijama Society, comprising Dr. Amber Mushtaq – President, Dr. Shahnaz Sikander – Senior Vice President, Dr. Saira Bano – Vice President, Dr. Arshi – Secretary General, Asma Abid – Joint Secretary, Tabiba Fazeela Hanif – Additional Secretary, Shaista Hanif – Press Secretary, Farheena Aamir – Deputy Press Secretary, Hina Ali – Deputy Secretary Finance, Sobia Imran – Organizer and Baji Farhana Altaf – Convener.
