Following the directive of Commissioner Karachi Syed Hasan Naqvi, an active crackdown on professional beggars continues at traffic signals, intersections, and markets across the city.
Deputy Commissioner East Shehzad Fazal Abbasi reported Saturday’s operation in District East to the commissioner, highlighting arrests made by Assistant Commissioner Jamshed Quarters, Essa Khan.
The operation led to the arrest of all beggars near Char Minar in Bahadurabad, who were handed over to New Town Police.
Additionally, three beggars were detained from Noorani Kabab Signal and transferred to Ferozabad Police Station, where FIRs have been registered for further legal action.
