Crackdown continues on electricity pilferage

On the instructions of the Federal Government and Energy Minister Power Division SardarOwais Ahmed Leghari, the indiscriminate and non stop crackdown is going on in all the operation circles of IESCO under the direct supervision of Chief Executive IESCO Dr. Muhammad Amjad Khan.

According to the details, on Sunday, Executive Engineer Taxila Mr. ShahidJadoon along with SDO Taxila and the local police force checked the crush plant which is connected in the name of Noor Zaman and the sanctioned load is 149 kW. Teams found the crush plant was using a direct power supply. The detection teams and the police cut off the connection of the crush plant after collecting all the evidence and The crash plant was sealed. A man named Owais was arrested by the police and IESCO teams charged fine in million for stealing electricity
