In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, president of Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian, has termed as ridicu-lous the consultation with irrelevant and fictitious organizations by the occupation authorities regard-ing the Muharram processions.
Agha Moosvi in a statement issued in Srinagar said that consultation with some fictitious groups and organizations which have no existence on ground about Muharram programmes is a joke with the Shia community of the occupied territory.
He described it as a heinous act intending to affect the credibility of the Shia religious and political parties of Kashmir.
Agha Moosvi said that consultation with ficti-tious groups which are not even remotely involved in arranging Muharram processions is definitely an unreasonable practice.
He termed the ban on Muharram processions in the occupied territory for more than 30 years as interference in religious affairs and demanded im-mediate lifting of the ban.—KMS
