Congress holds protests in IIOJK against Modi’s repressive policies

Congress held forceful protest demonstrations and protest rallies in many areas of Jammu region against the un-democratic policies of the Hindutva regime in India and occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Senior Congress leader and Incharge party affairs in IIOJK, Rajni Patil led a protest rally in Udhampur town and a torch-bearing procession in Jammu city, in which hundreds of workers and leaders participated.

Congress IIOJK president Vikar Rasool Wani, joint secretary Manoj Yadav and other senior leaders joined in Ud-hampur while in Jammu a host of senior leaders including GA Mir, Tara Chand, Mula Ram, Ravinder Sharma, Balwan Singh, Yogesh Sawhney attended the protest.

Similar protests were held at various places across the territory to intensify agitation against Modi led BJP gov-ernment.

An impressive torch-bearing procession was taken out by the party from Shaheedi Chowk towards main Jammu city, raising slogans against the BJP’s attacks on democracy and freedom of speech under Modi regime.—KMS
