Company Benches constituted to resolve matters

Two Company Benches have been constituted by CJ SHC on the Original Side at the Principal Seat Karachi of High Court of Sindh.The benches comprise Justice Muhammad Faisal Kamal Alam and Justice Adnan IqbalChaudhry having vast experience in commercial and regulatory disputes and they have delivered numerous landmark judgments that have significantly influenced the legal landscape.

Establishing separate Company Benches at the SHC was a significant step towards early resolution of cases pertaining to company matters and regulatory affairs.The LHC, IHC, PHC and BHC have already constituted separate Company Benches. The Chief Justices of the respective High Courts are mandated under Sub Section (4) of Section 5 of the Companies Act, 2017 to constitute one or more Company Benches, having exclusive original jurisdiction to adjudicate matters relating to companies and regulatory affairs.
