Commissioner Karachi Syed Hasan Naqvi, accompanied by Chief Executive of Water and Sewerage Corporation Muhammad Salahuddin, Managing Director of Solid Waste Management Board Imtiaz Ali Shah, Director General of Municipal Corporation of Karachi, and Deputy Commissioners, conducted an inspection of various areas in the city’s three districts: Central, East, and South.

The inspection focused on reviewing cleanliness, road repairs, removal of construction materials, and beautification arrangements. During the visit, he emphasized the government’s efforts to enhance the beauty of Sharae Faisal. He mentioned that the Karachi Development Authority (KDA) is developing a plan to beautify the road from the airport to the Metropole Hotel. Commissioner Naqvi also inspected under-construction high-rise buildings on Shahrae Faisal and addressed concerns regarding construction waste obstructing pedestrian and vehicular traffic. He directed Deputy Commissioner East, Shehzad Abbasi, to promptly initiate debris removal measures.

Furthermore, he instructed all Deputy Commissioners to collaborate effectively to address the removal of debris, ensuring it does not disrupt pedestrian and vehicular movement. Additionally, he inspected the deteriorating condition of North Karachi’s Godhra Road (7000 Road) and Baba Morr Ajmer Nagri Road. Commissioner Naqvi directed Deputy Commissioner Central, Faud Ghaffar Soomro, to coordinate with the Municipal Corporation and other relevant departments to resolve the issue.
