In response to the rising threat of dangerous high tides, Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi has imposed a complete ban on beach bathing for one month. This restriction, which falls under Section 144, applies to all beaches within Karachi’s jurisdiction and will remain in effect until July 27. Commissioner Naqvi issued a notification stating that the current conditions of the sea are generating large and hazardous waves, posing a significant risk to the lives of swimmers.
The notification further directs local SHOs to register cases against those who violate this ban. The administration emphasizes that this measure is crucial for ensuring public safety during the period of turbulent sea conditions.
