City reports 40 new Corona cases

As many as 10 more patients of Coronavirus died overnight lifting the death toll to 4,436 and 101 new cases emerged when 5,950 tests were conducted.

This was stated by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in a statement issued here on Monday.

He added that 10 more patients of COVID-19 lost their lives lifting the death toll to 4,436 that constituted 1.7 percent death rate.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said that 5,950 samples were tested which detected 101 cases that constituted 1.7 percent current detection rate.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah added that so far 3,089,159 tests have been conducted against which 259,955 cases were diagnosed, of them 97 percent or 251,394 patients have recovered, including 2206 overnight.

The Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said that currently 4,125 patients were under treatment, of them 3,806 were in home isolation, 11 at isolation centers and 308 at different hospitals.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah added that the condition of 277 patients was stated to be critical, including 43 shifted to ventilators.

According to the statement, out of 101 new cases, 40 have been detected from Karachi, including 14 from East, 8 Central, 7 South, 5 Korangi, 4 Malir and 2 West.

Hyderabad has 11, Tando Muhammad Khan 9, Shaheed Benazirabad 6, Sujawal 5, Mirpurkhas 4, Khairpur, Thatta and Nausheroferoze 3 each, Ghotki, Kamber, Umerkot and Jacobabad 2 each.

The Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shahurged people of the province to follow SOPs.
