ISLAMABAD – Minister of International Department of the Communist Party of China (IDCPC) and member of the Communist Party’s Central Committee, Liu Jianchao, is slated to visit Pakistan.
Chinese diplomat and politician will land in Islamabad on two day official visit from June 20-22. He is arriving at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
During his visit, Chinese official will co-chair Third Meeting of the Pakistan-China Joint Consultative Mechanism (JCM) of the Political Parties on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and will also meet with senior civil and military leaders of Pakistan.
Pakistan-China Joint Consultative Mechanism is a regular consultation mechanism between the Communist Party of China and political parties of Pakistan. Several meetings were held in Chinese capital in previous years.
In the upcoming meeting, Islamabad and Beijing will assess the progress of CPEC projects, CPEC’s impact on Pakistan’s socio-economic development, and discuss its expansion for regional connectivity.
Jianchao’s visit is part of the ongoing high-level exchanges between iron brothers and it underscores the importance of Cooperative Partnership.
