Chicken Rates up in Lahore, other Punjab cities ahead of Eid ul Adha 2024

Chicken meat prices are going higher despite Eid ul Adha, the festival of sacrifice in which consumption of meat increased.

Rate list shared by local administration shows increase in chicken price in last couple of days. The price of chicken meat per kg saw jump of around Rs30 per kg.

The wholesale rate of chicken has been fixed at Rs 330and, while the chicken meat price stands at Rs514. On June 10, chicken rate was around Rs485 per kg.

The administration also released official rates for vegetables and fruits. According to the list, onion is priced at Rs 95/kg, potato at Rs 78/kg, tomato at Rs 65/kg, and green chilli at Rs 100/kg. Ginger is priced at Rs 650/kg, desi garlic at Rs 285/kg, farm cucumber at Rs 60/kg, fenugreek at Rs 130/kg, eggplant at Rs 60/kg, cauliflower at Rs 120/kg, and turnip at Rs 75/kg.

The price of capsicum is Rs 180, lemon is Rs 310/kg, peas are Rs 235/kg, Ghia pumpkin is Rs 75/kg, Chinese carrot is Rs 70/kg, and bitter gourd is Rs 90/kg.

Black apple is priced at Rs 310/kg, peach at Rs 190/kg, Bukhara potato at Rs 175/kg, falsa at Rs 170/kg, watermelon at Rs 40/kg, Iranian date at Rs 475/kg, Sindhi mango at Rs 150/kg, Dushari mango at Rs 145/kg, and banana at Rs 145 per dozen.
