LAHORE – More top international players have registered for the foreign player drafts for the upcoming 10th edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Sri Lanka’s star batter Charith Asalanka and Pathum Nissanka, along with the number-one bowler in the global T20 rankings, West Indies’ Akil Hossain, have also registered for the PSL draft.

New Zealand’s fast bowler Tim Southee, who bid farewell to Test cricket during the series against England, along with aggressive opener Martin Guptill and Mark Chapman recently confirmed their availability for draft of the PSL 10 edition.

Earlier, despite a ban by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on players’ participation in PSL and other leagues, the names were still registered for the tournament.

The cricketers included fast bowler David Willey, aggressive opener Jason Roy and later David Malan Sam Curran and Tom Kohler-Cadmore.

Besides it, the prominent players from other countries include New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell, South Africa’s batter Riley Russo, Zimbabwe’s captain Sikandar Raza, Australian wicketkeeper Alex Carey, Bangladesh’s fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman and all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB also confirmed foreign players’ inclusion in the drafts like England’s David Willey and Australia’s Usman Khawaja.

It may be mentioned here that the players’ draft for the 10th edition of the PSL is scheduled for January 11 but there are reports suggesting that the draft may be moved from Gwadar to Lahore.
