The retail price of cement in Pakistan’s northern regions has increased slightly over the past week, according to data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).

In the week ending November 30, the average retail price of cement per bag in the north was Rs 1,271, up 1.55% from the previous week. The price increase is attributed to higher transportation costs and supply chain disruptions.

In the south, the average retail price of cement per bag remained unchanged at Rs 1,187. However, prices varied across different cities, with Islamabad seeing the highest price of Rs 1,250 and Quetta the lowest at Rs 1,190.—INP
