Christian spiritual leader, Archbishop Dr. Joseph Arshad, while emphasizing on joint efforts to eradicate the scourge of drugs, said that the use of drugs is destroying the young generation and many problems are arising in the society.
In his statement regarding the ‘World Day Against Illegal Trafficking’, he said that the scourge of drugs has also engulfed educational institutions, which is a worrisome matter. The Federal Ministry of Anti-Narcotics and the Anti-Narcotics Force Pakistan are continuing to take concrete steps to eliminate this, which are commendable.
Archbishop Dr. Joseph Arshad said that along with this, the Federal Government’s Anti-Narcotics Standing Committee has issued special orders to prevent the spread of drugs in educational institutions, which is welcome. It is necessary to ensure the practical implementation of the strictest laws against drugs. And the elements involved in drug production, trafficking, and delivery should be given real punishments. Dr. Joseph Arshad said that rehabilitation centers at the government level to get rid of drug addiction and treat them in any way.
On the occasion of the World Day Against Drug Abuse and Illegal Trafficking, we have to take a pledge that together we will make our beloved country Pakistan free of drugs and children in our families. They will be advised to stay away from all kinds of bad company while giving good education and training.
The youth of today is the bright future of tomorrow, so we have to protect our bright future ourselves and protect our neighborhood, society and country from the use of drugs.
