In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi has strongly condemned the authorities for once again booking the party Chairman, Abdul Samad Inqalabi, under draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA).
A spokesman for Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the Indian police re-arrested Abdul Samad Inqalabi soon after his release on court orders from illegal detention under PSA. He said that after arresting the party Chairman, the police first took him to Joint Interrogation Centre Humhama in Srinagar where he was interrogated for a night. He said that later, Samad Inqilabi was booked under the PSA again and was shifted to Bandipora sub-jail.
The spokesman termed the re-arrested and booking of the party Chairman under PSA as illegal and unconstitutional and the worst example of human rights violation.
Meanwhile, Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi General Secretary, Sheikh Abrar, in a statement in Srinagar said that the occupation authorities had slapped the PSA on Abdul Samad Inqalabi for the 25th time since 1991.
He said that Indian police had earlier arrested Abdul Samad Inqalabi after he attended a ceremony held on the first martyrdom anniversary of popular youth leader, Burhan Muzaffar Wani, on July 08, 2017. He said that the party Chairman was under continued illegal detention since then.—KMS
