Bleeding Kashmir’ highlights plight of Kashmiris in IOK Lawmakers praise Senator Rehman Malik for advocating Kashmir case in historic perspective

“Bleeding Kashmir” written by former Interior Minister and Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Interior Rehman Malik exposes the Indian forces atrocities in the Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) and plight of the innocent men, women and children facing the worst kind of oppression and repression by the occupying forces. This was said by speakers at the launching ceremony of the book on Tuesday held in the auditorium of Pakistan Institute of Parliamentary Services (PIPS).
Chairman Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir, Syed Fakhar Imam was the chief guest on the occasion while those who attended the book launch included Senator Azam Khan Swati Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Senator Shibli Faraz Leader of the House in Senate, Senator John Keneenth William, Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Senator Mushahid Ullah, Senator Javed Abbasi, Senator Syed Sabir Shah, Senator Sitara Ayaz, former Deputy Speaker National Assembly Faisal Karim Kundiand a number of leaders of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) leaders including Dr. Farooq Rehmani, Ms. Shamim Shall and Syed Nazir Gillani. The ceremony was also attended by ambassadors of Palestine, Jordon, Iran, Bosnia Herzegovina and Azerbaijan.
Chairman Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir Syed Fakhar Imam praised the contents of the book and commended Senator Rehman Malik for knitting the historical facts with ground realities. He mentioned that since he has taken the charge of Kashmir Committee, it is the first ceremony of its type that he has attended wherein the voice of oppressed Kashmiris was raised and documented in historic perspective. He said that the book contained treasure of knowledge for the students of geo-politics and Kashmir affairs.
In his opening remarks, the author briefed the audience about the book and the rise of Hindutva that is posing a major threat to peace of South Asia. India he said wanted to expand its territories and designs under this ideology.
