In various theft and robbery incidents in the vicinity of Kasur dacoits looted millions of rupees in cash, gold, jewellery, mobile phones, and other valuables. Naseer Ahmed was on his way home from Changa Manga on a motorbike when two unidentified armed robbers stopped him at gunpoint near Wankhara and snatched Rs. 270,000 in cash and fled the scene. In a robbery, Javed Iqbal, a Khai Allahabad resident, unidentified gunmen entered the house, took hostages at gunpoint, snatched gold jewellery and cash from the house, and fled.
In a robbery incident, Muhammad Yousuf, a Mohalla Mustafaabad resident, was on his way home after closing his shop two days ago when two unidentified gunmen stopped him near Darbar Baba Charaghshah at gunpoint and snatched Rs. 126,000 and a mobile phone.
Dr Nazeed Baloch, who is also staying with his family in his private hospital at Khudian, was forced to open the hospital gate based on a “fake serious patient”. After entering the house, they took everyone hostage at gunpoint, snatched Rs. 13 lakh in cash, 30 tola of gold jewellery, three mobile phones, and left. Police have registered the case, and the investigation is underway.
Meanwhile students once again, took to the streets to revive the country’s student union, demanding that the ban on student unions be lifted immediately. Protesting students carrying were leaflets and banners in their hands, saying that the ban imposed was the dictatorship’s worst decision. Elections should be held immediately by restoring student unions across the country and lifting the restrictions imposed they demanded.
