The cryptocurrency market edged lower on Thursday, with market capitalisation losing 0.8 percent to reach $2.4 trillion.

As of 1215 hours GMT, the largest cryptocurrency Bitcoin’s price went down by 1.28 percent to $48,481. With this decrease in price, the market capitalisation of the biggest crypto has reached $916 billion.

Ether, the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalisation, shed 2.21 percent to reach $3,940. With this decrease in price, the market capitalisation of ETH has reached $463 billion. However, XRP price gained 1.69 percent to reach $0.969.
