ISLAMABAD – The federal government has increased the cash stipend under the Benazir Income Support Programme’s (BISP) Kafaalat initiative for the families listed among the beneficiaries after completion of survey.
The BISP quarterly payment under Kafaalat programme for the deserving families has been increased to Rs10,500 in order to facilitate them amid inflation and skyrocketing food prices.
The government has also increased amount for Taleemi Wazaif for students and Nashonuma stipend for women and their new-born babies.
BISP Taleemi Wazaif Update 2024
The amount for the Taleemi Wazaif has been increased to Rs2,500 for girls studying in primary class while the students of secondary and higher secondary will receive Rs3,500 and Rs4,500 respectively.

The government said that additional Rs3,000 bonus will be given to female students on completion of the Primary.
Eligibility Criteria for Benazir Kafaalat Programme
Beneficiaries of “Benazir Kafaalat Programme” are identified/selected through scientific mode of Proxy Means Test (PMT) through National Socio Economic Registry (NSER) survey.
The welfare status of a household is determined on a scale between 0-100 of the PMT. The PMT cut-off score for eligibility is decided by BISP Board on the basis of available fiscal space. All families falling within the approved PMT cut-off score are being provided cash assistance under Benazir Kafaalat Programme.
The current PMT cut-off score of 32 was approved by the BISP Board in its 52ndmeeting held on 23rd September, 2021. However, for families with a differently abled person, the PMT cut-off score is set at 37 for eligibility.
