LAHORE – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is set to hold a crucial meeting tomorrow to elect its new chairman.

The meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, 6th February, will convene at 2 PM local time at the National Cricket Academy.

The PCB governing board will gather to elect the new chairman, a decision of paramount importance for the future direction of Pakistan cricket. The incumbent caretaker chief minister of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi, emerges as a formidable contender for the coveted position.

The special meeting, initiated by Election Commissioner Shah Khawar, highlights the board’s commitment to ensuring a smooth transition of leadership. Mustafa Ramday is the other candidate. The delegates from Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Dera Murad Jamali, Larkana, Bahawalpur, Sui Northern Gas, Ghani Glass, State Bank, and PTV are part of the governing board.

The secretary of the inter-provincial coordination ministry or another designated representative, albeit in a non-voting capacity, will also take part in the meeting.
