LAHORE – Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Lahore shared update for August 26 examination as parts of country including provincial capital Lahore will observe a public holiday on Monday.
The provincial government announced local holiday in Lahore to commemorate 981st Annual Urs of Data Ganj Bakhsh. In light of local holiday, BISE Lahore said there are no changes and all scheduled exams will continue as per the plan.
Lahore Board Examinations Controller said the exam timetable remains unchanged and urged students to attend their exam. Candidates are however advised to visit exam centre two hours early to avoid delays caused by the Urs celebration.
August 26 Holiday
Lahore local administration and police made special arrangements for the Urs of Sufi saint Data Gunj Baksh. Commissioner of Lahore directed to facilitate students and staff in reaching their exam centers.
This includes enhanced traffic management and support systems to ensure exams proceed smoothly despite the holiday.
Maryam Nawaz led government declared the district-level holiday for August 26 in honor of the revered saint, Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh. This holiday will apply to all government offices in Lahore, with exceptions made for the Punjab Civil Secretariat, its Attached Departments, and Regional Offices.
