Faisal Zahid Malik distributes trophy, prizes among winners

 

The 9th Essa Lab Trophy 3×3 Girls Basketball Tournament, organized by Firdous Ittehad under the patronage of SOA, concluded with Bahria College Karsaz Blue emerging victorious. They defeated their own college team, Bahria College Black, with a 7-3 scoreline in the final. The final was attended by the chief guest, Faisal Zahid Malik, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Pakistan Observer, and Chairman of the FPCCI Committee on Broadcasting and Media. Faisal Zahid Malik distributed cash prizes and other awards worth thousands of rupees at the event.

Other notable attendees included Director Sports Karachi Commissioner’s Office, Ghulam Muhammad Khan, SaeedaIftikhar, Azma Khan, Abdul Hamid Baloch, and other dignitaries. Chairman and Editor-in-Chief Pakistan Observer Faisal Zahid Malik praised Essa Laboratory’s significant contribution to supporting sports across the country and thanked Dr. Farhan Isa Abdullah for their efforts. He announced that in December, he would bring Advisor to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs, Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan, to the court.

He also pledged to contribute to the promotion of basketball in Karachi and promised to approach foreign embassies for support in promoting the sport. In the final, Bahria College Karsaz Blue displayed excellent teamwork, with Kanza Ali, Romesha, Rahima, Aiza, and MahJabeen leading the charge. Kanza Ali was named the best player of both the match and the tournament for her outstanding performance. The technical responsibilities of the tournament were handled by Zaimah Khatoon, Tariq Hussain, and Faisal Zahid Malik, while the match was supervised by Faisal Zahid Malik and Muhammad Ashraf. The boys’ event will begin today, November 11, at 9:00 PM, and Firdous Ittehad President Shahida Parveen will be the chief guest for the opening ceremony.
