The long-awaited restoration of the Ghaus Bahauddin Zakariya stop at Jangshahi Railway Station has been achieved, thanks to the dedicated efforts of local social leaders. A detailed inspection of the station was carried out by CEO of Pakistan Railways, Amir Baloch, FGR Mazhar Shah, and DS Railway Karachi, Nasir Khaili.

During the visit, social leaders from Jangshahi, including Ghulam Hussain Shah, Abdul Qadir Shaikh, Muneer Brohi, Abdul Rehman Brohi, Ramzan Brohi, and Mudassar Jokhio, met with railway officials to request the reinstatement of the Ghaus Bahauddin Zakariya stop and the allocation of a reservation quota for the station.

In response, CEO Amir Baloch announced the temporary restoration of the stop and assured the leaders that the reservation quota would also be reinstated.

Railway officials emphasized the need for improved revenue generation within the department, stating that once the income improves, more permanent stops for additional trains will be considered. Strengthening national institutions remains a priority, and measures are being taken to improve the railway system. Providing affordable and better travel facilities for the public is a key objective.

To express their gratitude, the social leaders of Jangshahi presented gifts of Sindhi Ajrak, a symbol of the region’s culture, to FGR Mazhar Shah, CEO Amir Baloch, and DS Railway Karachi Nasir Khaili.
