Babar Azam, Rizwan lose one position each in ICC T20 Batters’ rankings

LAHORE – Pakistan Captain Babar Azam and wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan have dropped one position each in the ICC T20 Batters’ rankings, moving to fourth and fifth place respectively.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the T20 players’ rankings, in which India’s Suryakumar Yadav, England’s Phil Salt, Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam, and Mohammad Rizwan have all dropped one position each.

T20 Batters Ranking

In the rankings, India’s Suryakumar Yadav has lost his number one batter position. Suryakumar had been the number one batter since December 2023 but now Australia’s Travis Head has risen four spots to become the number one T20 batter.

Suryakumar Yadav is now second, Phil Salt is third, Babar Azam is fourth, and Mohammad Rizwan is fifth in the rankings.

According to the rankings, West Indies’ Johnson Charles has climbed four spots to reach 10th, Afghanistan’s Rahmanullah Gurbaz has moved up five spots to 11th, England’s Jonny Bairstow has jumped 14 spots to 13th and South Africa’s Quinton de Kock has risen 10 spots to 15th.

T20 All-Rounders Ranking

In the T20 all-rounders rankings, Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga has regained the number one spot, and Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi has moved up two positions to second place.

India’s Hardik Pandya has climbed four positions to third, while Australia’s Marcus Stoinis has dropped to fourth. In these rankings, Pakistan’s Imad Wasim is in 11th place.

T20 bowlers’ rankings:

In the bowlers’ rankings, England’s Adil Rashid maintains the first position while Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan has improved by two spots to reach second place.

Wanindu Hasaranga is third, Josh Hazlewood is fourth, Akeal Hosein is fifth and Adam Zampa has moved up two spots to sixth place.

In the rankings, India’s Kuldeep Yadav has made a significant leap, improving by 20 positions to reach 11th place.
