Army’s physical fitness is an example

A few days ago one of my colleagues pointed out an important issue and mentioned that we don’t have enough parks and playing grounds and the existing ones seems empty.

On the other hand, all the hospitals and pharmacies remain full with people all the time. Even the number of people seen in hospitals and pharmacies are comparatively much higher than that in our grocery stores.

Lack of leisure time and sports is putting adverse effects on our health resulting in rise in patient inflow in our pharmacies and hospitals.

Along with shortage of grounds and parks, another reason behind poor health of people is excessive use of technology.

Nowadays everyone has a smartphone and internet. People like to spend more and more time on mobiles and internet rather than outings.

My seven year old son is such an addictive of mobile phone that even he doesn’t eat anything without watching kid’s movies on mobile.

The same is the story with almost all children. In fact, children and adults, all are on same page in usage of mobiles and internet.

Unfortunately, in cities we are much away from heavy workout. We are dependent of vehicles and machines in our routine life. This dependency is also increasing the ratio of diseases.

We are lagging behind in creation, innovation, research and development due to above mentioned factors.

Dear readers! Medical Science says that exercise and walk help in managing diabetes, blood pressure and reduces the chances of many kinds of Cancer.

Muscle-strengthening activities like lifting weights can help increase or maintain our muscle mass and strength.

This is important for older adults who experience reduced muscle mass and muscle strength with aging.

Slowly increasing the amount of weight and number of repetitions you do as part of muscle strengthening activities will give you even more benefits, no matter what’s the age.

Even a simple walk put quite positive effects on health. Taking more steps a day also helps lower the risk of premature death from all causes.

For adults younger than 60, the risk of premature death levelled off at about 8,000 to 10,000 steps per day.

For adults 60 and older, the risk of premature death levelled off at about 6,000 to 8,000 steps per day.

Regular physical activity can help people manage existing chronic conditions and disabilities.

For example, regular physical activity can reduce pain and improve function, mood, and quality of life for adults with arthritis.

It help control blood sugar levels and lower risk of heart disease and nerve damage for people with type 2 diabetes.

Readers! The benefits of physical activities are not ignoble. It is quite evident that the health standard of our Army is much higher than others because of their exercise schedule and tough workout.

The same fitness is required for whole nation as only a healthy and energetic society can make a country developed and prosperous.

We need to take motivation from fitness of our soldiers and apply it somehow in our lives in order to enhance the standard of our health. We need to think on it on a war-footing basis for creation of a healthy society.
