RAWALPINDI – Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir has lauded Pakistan Army’s achievements in its fight against terrorism and continued efforts for regional peace.
General Asim made these remarks during the concluding ceremony of the 6th International Pakistan Army Team Spirit (PATS) Competition at the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) at Pabbi.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) quoting the top general said the forces uphold soldierly attributes of courage, mutual cooperation, resilience, and competence which have been displayed during our ongoing fight against terrorism.
Army Chief said PATS replicates the degree of emphasis given by all armies on physical fitness, combat skills, and teamwork of their troops in the face of evolving character of warfare.
He also distributed prizes and medals to the participants of the competition which was also attended by International observers and Defence Attaches.

The military’s media wing added that seven Pakistan Army teams and 10 international squads including Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Uzbekistan, Thailand, Jordan, the United States, Iraq, Kazakhstan and Qatar participated in the competition.
The three-day contest continued from March 7-9 in the mountainous and rugged terrain in the country’s northwestern region.
