RAWALPINDI – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir visited Tilla Field Firing Ranges near Jhelum on Wednesday.
A press release issued by Inter-Services Public Relations said the top General visited Tilla Field Firing Ranges to witness live fire and maneuvers by recently acquired VT-4 tanks.
COAS witnessed shoot and scoot capacity of long-range SH-15 self-propelled artillery guns and innovative equipment display.
Gen Asim interacted with officials and troops and appreciated the combat proficiency of armed forces and their mastery over state-of-the-art weaponry.
ISPR quoting Army Chief said Pakistan Army is alive to existing and emerging challenges and possessed the wherewithal to thwart the nefarious designs of its adversaries through the entire gamut of threats.
COAS also commended the high degree of professionalism, battle worthiness and offensive spirit displayed by the soldiers of the Strike Corps.
On his arrival, Gen Asim was received by Mangla Corps commander and was briefed on operational readiness of the Strike Corps.
