Arms, smuggled goods recovered from 26 outlaws

District police claimed to have detained 26 persons, three of whom proclaimed offenders and seized arms, ammunition and non-custom paid foreign goods during different search and combing operations conducted in different areas of the district on Sunday.
A media release from the office of the District Police Officer (DPO) Sajjad Ahmad Sahibzada noted that SHO Shaheed Mureed Akbar (SMA) police station held surprise checking of vehicles at Korr and Manjikheil check posts. During the checking of vehicles, police recovered 152 smuggled android mobiles and other accessories from the secret parts of a vehicle bearing number ARV-190 Sindh.
Contemporarily, during different search and combing operations conducted in the jurisdiction of Mulazai and Gomal Police Stations, police apprehended six persons including three proclaimed offenders who were wanted by police in different cases of kidnapping and murder, the press release mentioned. The media note further underlined that Police recovered 8 rifles, 2 pistols and 151 cartridges from the detained criminals while 20 more suspects were also taken into custody by police during the search operations and an interrogation from the detained persons was underway.
The DPO, Sajjad Ahmad Sahibzada, said that in line of special directions of Regional Police Officer (RPO) Dera Ismail Khan Yaseen Farooq, Tank police would further harden action against the anti-social elements to maintain peace.
