APP, IRNA ink MoU on news exchange

Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) and Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to increase media cooperation between the news agencies of the two countries here on Thursday.

Managing Director APP Akhtar Munir and Iranian ambassador Syed Mohammad Ali Hosseini inked the document on behalf of the national news agencies of their respective countries, at a signing ceremony held here in the capital.

Federal Minister for Commerce Syed Naveed Qamar and the visiting Iranian Minister for Roads and Urban Development Rostam Ghasemi witnessed the signing of the MoU.

Apart from news exchange, the two national wire services will also conduct professional training of their staff to share and exchange each other’s experience.
