APHC represents collective sentiments, struggle of IIOJK people

A function was organized at the office of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter in Islamabad, today, to discuss the prevailing grim human rights situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Convener of the National Unity Forum Saudi Arabia Kashmir Committee, Jeddah, Sardar Muhammad Iqbal Yusuf was the chief guest while Overseas journalist Waqar-ul-Zaman Kayani and others also participated in the meeting.

Sardar Muhammad Iqbal Yusuf addressing on the occasion said the All Parties Hurriyat Conference represents the collective sentiments, struggle, sufferings and sacrifices of the subjugated people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and it has a high status among the common people. He also apprised the participants about his visit to the UK and work related to the Kashmir cause in Saudi Arabia.

He hoped that the APHC-AJK office-bearers would work tirelessly and sincerely for the cause of Kashmir and take all possible steps on the political and diplomatic fronts to highlight the Kashmiris’ struggle for securing their right to self-determination.

Waqar-ul-Zaman Kayani in his speech said the ugly face of India has been exposed to the world. The struggle for Kashmir’s freedom will be intensified at the international level in consultation with the APHC, he added.

The APHC-AJK chapter Convener Mehmood Ahmed Saghar addressing the function emphasized to continue the Kashmir freedom movement and move forward with a new plan of action.

Senior APHC-AJK leader, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, said, “We will have to go to international institutions again and again and there is a need to build effective relations with them.”

Another senior APHC-AJK leader, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, stressed the best use of media to highlight the ongoing Indian atrocities and serious violations of human rights in IIOJK. Kashmiris and Pakistanis in America, Europe and other countries will also have to play an important role for this purpose, he added.

Sheikh Abdul Mateen, Sheikh Muhammad Yaqub, Javed Iqbal Butt, Syed Ejaz Rahmani and Imtiaz Wani also spoke on the occasion while Raja Abdul Salam Kayani, Raja Pervaiz, Zahid Qureshi, Sardar Muhammad Usman, Dr Adnan Kayani, Aftab Kayani and Sardar Abdul Taif Abbasi and others also participated in the function.—INP
