Additional IG Karachi Javed Alam Odhu inaugurated the command and control center with 30 CCTV cameras set up at SSP District Korangi office on behalf of Voice of Karachi (VOK). DIG East, SSP District Korangi, VOK President Basit Mandia, Korangi Association of Trade and Industry President Farazur Rahman and VOK officials attended. Basit Mandia, DIG East and SSP Korangi briefed Karachi Police Chief regarding the project.
On this occasion, Karachi Police Chief said that modern technology especially CCTV cameras and command and control centers are very important in preventing crimes, succeeding in cases and punishing the accused. The CCTV network that we have launched in Central, South, Malir and Korangi districts along with the community will be a part of Karachi Safe City in the future and will help prevent law and order and other crimes.
At the end of the ceremony, Basit Mandia and his team presented honorary shields to Karachi Police Chief, DIG East, SSP Korangi and other officers. Additional IG Karachi in the VOK team that made this project successful certificate of Appreciation were distributed.
