Governor Sindh Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori has announced that the recent agreements between Pakistan and AD Ports Group will create more than 10,000 new job opportunities, revolutionizing the nation’s trade, transportation, and logistics sectors. The governor made these remarks during his visit to AD Ports, where he emphasized the potential impact of the four key agreements already signed.

“These agreements will lead to a significant boost in the national economy, with billions of rupees expected to be added to the national treasury annually,” Tessori stated. He also highlighted the transformation these agreements will bring to Pakistan’s transport and logistics systems, laying the foundation for a robust economic future.

During the visit, CEO of AD Ports Pakistan Khurram Aziz briefed the Governor on the details of the agreements. Also present at the event were the UAE Consul General Bakheet Ateeq Al-Remeithi, CEO of AD Ports Group Mohamed Ali Tamimi, and the CEO of International Ports Asia and Africa, Abdul Aziz Balochi. Governor Tessori emphasized that the collaboration between AD Ports and Pakistan will play a key role in modernizing the infrastructure of Karachi Port.

“The planned upgrades will increase the port’s capacity, making Karachi a key trade hub between South Asia, the Arab world, and Africa,” he said. The governor also recognized the crucial role of workers in these projects, praising their dedication and hard work. “Without the tireless efforts of the laborers at the ports, development would not be possible. Their sacrifice strengthens our economy, and their welfare will always remain a top priority,” Tessori noted. In response to a media query about India’s refusal to participate in the Champions Trophy, Tessori remarked that it would not affect the tournament’s success.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s determination to continue growing its relations with the UAE, underscoring the importance of strengthening economic ties and striving for a stable economy similar to that of the UAE. Governor Tessori concluded the visit by celebrating the UAE’s 53rd Union Day, cutting a cake with workers in a show of solidarity and appreciation for their contributions to the nation’s progress.
