Pakistan Rangers Sindh in a joint operation with Federal Investigation Agency in Orangi Town arrested an accused involved in hacking bank accounts, credit cards, debit cards and visa cards.
According to a news release on Sunday, Rangers’ technical team and Cyber Crime wing of FIA arrested Muhammad Asif Mughal and also seized his computer.
During initial interrogation, arrested accused revealed that he was an IT expert and had expertise in hacking bank accounts and credit cards of different countries. He used to buy cards from a website and then shop from online markets.
Arrested accused after agreement with seller, used to pay them 40% commission and did shopping of 60% from them online.
From 2018, Asif Mughal started buying bank accounts data from various call centers for Rs 2,000 to Rs 5,000.
