Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Health Dr Zafar Mirza on Wednesday inaugurated the upgraded Mother & Child Health (MCH) Centre in Aabpara.
The upgraded health facility consists of 60 beds and all according to the briefing given on the occasion all delivery cases will be performed at the CMH that will relieve the Polyclinic hospital of the burden of such cases.
The new upgraded facility will now perform up to 50-100 deliveries instead of two to three.
The MCH Centre has facilities including operation theater, labour rooms, X-ray and ultrasound. There is a nursery for newborn babies.
Doctors will be available round the clock in the wards. There is a spacious sitting area for attendants of the patients. Top quality patient-care facilities are being provided at the upgraded centre.
Islamabad is being transformed into a model health city which will set an example for the provinces and regions across the country to emulate. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan we are fully committed and there is high resolve to bring revolutionary changes in health sector.
As many as 16 Basic Health Unit in Islamabad are being upgraded alongwith three Rural Health Centre. This will be a model of complete transformation of patient-care and services, a manifestation of our resolve to improve the health and well-being of our people.
