Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information Hasaan Khawer on Sunday said that the founder of Sheen-League Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza have earned bad name for their family by laundering billions of rupees.
“There is not a single penny in the account of Shehbaz Sharif but the bank accounts of his servants have billions of rupees,” the SACM pointed out and added that the FIA has got solid evidence of money laundering against Shehbaz Sharif.
He asked Shehbaz Sharif to answer “how he made fortunes and established a business empire worth billions of rupees from an iron furnace?” Hasaan Khawer said that the name of the Sharif family is on the top of the list which polluted Pakistani politics for their vested interest. The so-called Khadim-e-Aala earned billions of rupees through kickbacks and commissions.
The SACM questioned that is there any business in Pakistan which grew one hundred times faster? Theft and embezzlement is the hallmark of Shehbaz Sharif and his family, he alleged and added that they have been exposed in front of the nation.
Hasaan Khawar said that these are those “Sharif Thugs” who robbed the national exchequer by taking commissions in projects.
He said that Shehbaz Sharif has always ditched the nation on every important issue. Now these elements cannot befool the nation anymore, declared Hasaan Khawer.
Meanwhile, spokesperson to the Punjab Government Hasaan Khawar has said that the threats of long march from Pakistan Democratic Movement will only serve to be an amusing spectacle for the populace.
He said that the PML-N turns unresponsive when asked as to where the Rs16 billion came from in the accounts of Sharif family employees. Long march cannot turn the attention of the nation from these critical questions.
He said that the Opposition can run from the courts, but cannot avoid the nation for long. He expressed these views while talking to the media on the sidelines of an exhibition organized by the art and craft company ‘Mehmal’.
He asked why the Opposition was so afraid of the electronic voting machine and why it was misleading the nation regarding electoral transparency by spreading fabricated propaganda against the use of technology.
He said that the use of EVM is very common in democratic countries. The same system is used by 49% of the world’s population living in democratic and semi-democratic countries.
Hasaan Khawar further said that how can a person using a smartphone not use a simple machine like EVM? The public can no longer be misled by the awkward logic of the EVM system being prone to be hacked.
On this occasion, he also demanded from the Election Commission to ensure the use of electronic voting machines in the 2023 general elections.
Answering various questions of the media, he further said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is the foremost perpetrator and advocate of local bodies elections.
The Punjab Government is going to hold local bodies elections in March. Let the Opposition prepare and come to the field.
