On the special directives of Sindh Local Government Minister NasirHussain Shah, Chief Secretary Sindh and Secretary Local Government, a special cleaning campaign has been launched in all zones of Central District. During the campaign, Sindh Solid Waste Management Board will ensure the backlog of machinery from Central District areas. According to details, the Central Municipality had requested to formulate a joint strategy with Sindh Solid Waste for cleaning the areas. The Central Municipality was unable to collect complete garbage from all points due to shortage or malfunction of machinery. Therefore, at the request of Central Municipality, the Provincial Minister, Chief Secretary and Secretary Local Government directed to carry out cleaning operation in Central District. , Liaquatabad Zone, Nazimabad Zone, New Karachi Zone and North Nazimabad Zone. In addition, the Administrative Deputy Commissioner, Central District, Municipal Commissioner and Central District and SSWMB officials have been visiting the areas on a regular basis to monitor the situation. Work is also being done to relocate the landfill site later. On the direction of MD Zubair Channa, cleanliness of all the points will be ensured without any delay and in this regard, full coordination has been directed with other agencies as well. Meanwhile, shopkeepers and residents are also being urged to put them in garbage bags. The awareness campaign aims to create awareness among the people and make them feel like responsible citizens.
