In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, APHC leader and Chairman of Democratic Political Movement, Khawaja Firdous, has said that the fascist Indian government led by Narendra Modi, working on the RSS agenda, is pursuing the nefarious agenda of turning the Muslim majority Kashmir into a minority.
Khawaja Firdous in a statement issued in Srinagar said that India had amended its constitution on August 5, 2019 to repeal Articles 370 and 35A to fulfill its wicked plan. He said that India in pursuit of Israeli polices had been issuing domicile certificates among non-locals to upset the existing demography of the occupied territory.
Khawaja Firdous made it clear that India would have to face defeat in its anti-Kashmiris’ designs and added that Kashmir was an internationally recognized dispute and therefore it was responsibility of the international community to resolve it in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
Meanwhile, Muslim Conference Chairman Shabir Ahmed Dar and International Forum for Justice Chairman Mohammed Ahsan Untoo visited the house of late Advocate Bilal Ahmed Butt and expressed condolences with his family members. Later, they visited Bashir Ahmed Kashmiri who was released after two years of illegal detention. The leaders discussed the present political situation in Jammu Kashmir and reiterated their pledge of taking the present freedom movement to its logical conclusion.
Jammu and Kashmir Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi in a statement while condemned the Indian conspiracies against the Urdu language said that for Muslims of South Asia, the language has acted as a repository and a guardian of religious knowledge for centuries. “The recent attempts to remove Urdu from the public sphere are therefore a cultural onslaught against Kashmiri Muslims. We are duty bound to defeat these evil designs by keeping the languag alive and ensuring it’s use in all spheres of everyday life,” it added.—KMS
