Vehicle fitness test fee in Lahore, Faisalabad – October 2026 update

Emission Test Fee In Lahore Faisalabad October 2026 Update

LAHORE – The Punjab government has set October 15 deadline to obtain the fitness certificates for private vehicles.

The Punjab Provincial Transport Authority has established to 20 PVICS centres across Punjab – Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan and Sadiqabad. As per latest decision, the emission test points are working around the clock.

The decision has been taken amid limited availability of vehicle fitness testing facilities and the need to complete fitness certification of millions of privately registered vehicles across Punjab.

Vehicle Inspect Fee Structure

Punjab’s Provincial Vehicle Inspection and Certification System (PVICS) applies different testing charges depending on the category of vehicle and its engine size.

Under the new schedule, motorcycle owners will be charged Rs100 for an emissions test, while the fee for rickshaws has been fixed at Rs300.

For cars and light transport vehicles (LTVs), the charges vary according to engine capacity. Vehicles with engines of 1,000cc or below will be charged Rs500. The fee for vehicles with engine capacities ranging from 1,000cc to 1,500cc has been set at Rs800.

Owners of vehicles with engines between 1,500cc and 2,500cc will have to pay Rs1,000 for emissions testing. The fee rises to Rs1,500 for vehicles with engine capacities between 2,500cc and 4,500cc.

For vehicles with engines of 4,500cc or above, the emissions testing fee has been fixed at Rs2,000.

The Punjab EPA said the prescribed charges will be collected when vehicular emission testing is carried out by the agency. The notification, however, specifies that the fee schedule does not apply to enforcement actions.
